"Ambassadors are on the front line of our team and play a crucial part in the communities growth and success. Through their efforts the server can continue to thrive through the introduction of new life and personality, found via their in-game Ambassador efforts. They make the best first impressions."
As an Ambassador your primary function on our staff team is to perform a key duty: in-game recruitment. In order for the server to continue to thrive we must inject new life and personality into it regularly, as naturally people will come and go; so keeping the energy high is essential. As a core member of this team you will jump in-game twice a week and shout our recruitment message in key player hubs/maps.
How will you do it?
Is that it?
Nope! The above is the very basic foundation of the role. If you wish to do more then we welcome you to do so. The only requirement is that you do the above each week at least, unless on a break from the game. If you decide to do more you do so on top of the above responsibilities. Extra responsibilities can include:
If you wished to take on more you'd simply bring it up with a Community Manager.
To meet the basic minimum requirements of activity via performing the outlined duties above, we estimate it will take no more than 30 minutes of your game time each week. The rest is optional.
As an Ambassador you will have a unique role and new colour on the server to indicate your duty to the community, people will recognise this role as staff.
You will also have access to several new channels on the server starting with #staff- , all are used for various reasons including moderation, discussion, project planning and auditing.
With this new role will include additional permissions however these are restricted to specific channels. These permissions include the ability to delete other member messages for moderation purposes, as well as apply mutes in emergency situations before escalating it to a moderator.
Taking a break from the game is normal, as is absences due to holiday, sickness etc. We're all human. Simply keep us looped in on what's going on and we'll work from there. Sadly though, staff roles cannot be kept indefinitely no matter the situation and in some cases it will be removed until your situation changes.
Naturally we will monitor how regularly you are shouting. The amount of members you find is irrelevant, it's the act of doing the task that matters the most. If you fail to meet the 2 per week minimum for 3 consecutive weeks and it is not an agreed absence, your role may be removed.
